BETWEEN THE DUNGEON GHYLLS

£3.50

At the driveable head of Great Langdale there are two famous Hotels, separated by the Stickle Barn Inn, the Old and the New Dungeon Ghyll. Long popular with mountaineers they are named after the dramatic and deeply cut natural rift of the Dungeon Ghyll which, complete with fine waterfalls, falls from the heights of The Langdale Pikes. Utilising a high ancient packhorse route, and the path across the low meadows, this walk circumnavigates between the two, twice crossing the stream owing from the Dungeon Ghyll.
