The high valley of Scandale, located on the opposite side of the Red Screes shoulder to Kirksone Pass, falls directly to Ambleside. Tumbling steeply through wooded gorge and over rocky fall, Scandale Beck is crossed by two stone arch bridges. This easy going circuit crosses the two Sweden Bridges by  first rising between stone walls and enclosing woods before making descent with an open aspect over lake and fell.

TIME: 1.75 hours.
DIFFICULTY: Easy with gradual ascent (180m) and descent.
