Description
Ascent of the long and aesthetic east ridge is the most popular way to gain the summit of pyramidal Grisedale Pike. Beyond the summit this route traverses to Hobcarton Head before descending to Coledale Hause. Return is made by following the old mining track, which first descends into the head of Coledale to the south of Force Crag, and then continues along the north side of the valley.
