Description
Stone Arthur, romantically perpetuating the Arthurian legend, is the striking castle-like rock bastion high above and to the east of Grasmere. The walk described here makes an anticlockwise arc, to the summit knoll, by rising from Greenhead Gill before descending to Tongue Gill. It offers wonderful contrasting views and is interesting throughout.
