Description
A voyage of discovery rising from Waterhead through Skelghyll Wood to the forgotten viewpoint of Jenkin Crag. Taking a lakeside route in front of the YH this walk then passes through the little boat park area above Waterhead Marine to follow the lane and climb by Stagshaw Gardens. The track through the woods leads to a short deviation to Jenkin Crag. Return is made by descending the track through the woods before forking off down to fields directly above Romney Grange and Waterhead.
LENGTH: 2.5 km.
TIME: 1.5 hours.
DIFFICULTY: Mildly difficult with 180m of ascent.
