The Crinkle Crags form the rugged, serrated skyline above Oxendale at the head of Great Langdale. This walk approaches from the Three Shires Stone at the head of Wrynose Pass. Traverse by Red Tarn, to ascend the broad shoulder of Great Knott and gain The Crinkles which are traversed to Three Tarns col before making return over much the same route. Description

DIFFICULTY: A difficult and long mountain route with strenuous ascent (some 800m)
and descent, sections of scrambling can be avoided.
